Ronan Ryans basement restaurant has become one of the hottest tables in Ireland ‚and for good reason. There's a strong New York/Italian theme on both its menu and wine list, given a fresh twist by one of the rising stars of the Dublin scene, chef Phil Yeung.
The menu features antipasti and an impressive range of excellent seafood dishes alongside Italian classics, including a mouth-watering risotto with truffle oil. If you are in the mood for a meatier main, lamb, duck and pork all feature at different times, and the ribeye steak is as superb as it is generous.
The cooking is confident and gutsy, applying strong, zesty flavours with panache; the presentation is elegant and unfussy on plain white plates; there's great desserts and the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
It's a hugely popular spot for dinner, with lots of rock stars, movie directors, rugby internationals and media types among the regulars, so be sure to book your table in advance.
